273 new posts at Kasaragod med college hospital; half to be filed soon

Kasaragod Medical College Recruitment 2020
Health Minister K K Shailaja on Wednesday informed that Cabinet has approved the creation of 273 new posts at the Kasaragod medical college hospital. As part of COVID-19 prevention activities, half the number of posts will be filled soon, she added.
The new posts are created as part of the 24-hour functional Causality with 300 beds, Out Patient and In Patient sections in the hospital. Rs 14.61 crore is the estimated annual expense for these posts.
50 percent of the posts will be filled soon and the other half after the hospital building block is fully functional.
Kasaragod has the highest number of COVD-19 patients in the state. Out of the 263 active cases, 131 are confirmed here which accounts for half the total count in Kerala. Taking this fact into consideration, the necessity for OP section at the hospital was evaluated.
As per special instruction from the Chief Minister, the COVID hospital has been setup at the academic block of Kasaragod medical college spending Rs 7 crore. Apart from this, CM has now instructed for creating 273 new posts at the hospital which includes 91 doctors and 182 non-faculty members.
