Job Purpose:
Support the RA GCC Food Compliance Manager during the activities of CAST project for the region targets. This position report directly to RA GCC Compliance manager based in Riyadh.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Support RA Compliance Food Manager in reviewing the following:
- New product Formula via, Offline / PQQ /PV.
- New Seasoning / Raw material specs via, Offline / PQQ /PV.
- Product labeling Specs (PLS).
- Working with PD Spec Owner for ingredient specification by consolidate ingredient data and to update specification & Information in specs, providing compliance input in the following key areas:
- Ingredient Composition.
- Allergens.
- Halal requirements.
- Claims Compliance.
- Nutrition Fact.
- Regulatory Requirements e.g. (Microbiology, Heavy Metal, Mycotoxins, etc. …).
- Test method for each attribute.
- Working closely as needed with cross functional teams like R&D-PD, Marketing, Legal, PPGA, GP and SC.
- Assisting with all product claims made on labels, in brochures, websites and other consumer communications by coordinating with R&D/Quality/Nutrition for claim substantiation and ensuring compliance against local regulation & PEP global guardrails.
- Reviewing and approving all Food artworks by ensuring artworks are meeting the local & regional labeling regulations.
- Ensuring the products registration with the appropriate government bodies to ensure launch readiness.

Qualifications
- Required working in office 5 days/wk. for 12 months as per region policy. Travelling as required.
- Contract for 6/12 months.
- PepsiCo to provide:
- Laptop with MS Office program.
- PepsiCo Global Personnel ID (GPID) and email.
- PQP system access (PV and PQP portal website).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Safety, Food Technology, Food Science) with aptitude to handle technical data and adapt to new IT applications.
- 2-3 years of experience on Regulatory, QA/QC, Food Analytical experience and or other Food related FMCG in a technical role.
- Well-versed on Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal (i.e. presentation, conference calls) and written (i.e. reports, e-mails) in English.
- Learning agility, self-motivation and desire for continuous self-improvement.
- Team player and works well with cross-functional, cross-regional, and cross-cultural teams.
- Can work independently and has initiative for problem solving.
